Post

Call for Entries: If you are a domestic violence survivor, now is your chance to educate the public about D/V 2.0: the post-abuse hardships that most must endure as part of the cost of choosing freedom over power and control. Survivors who are poets and/or artists in any medium (sculpture, paint, mixed-media, photography) are invited to submit work for a two-month exhibition to be held at the California Museum, 1020 “O” Street, Sacramento, California.

The exhibition is scheduled for October 3 to December 10, 2012.  The show will be juried; however, all submissions that comply with guidelines will be honored by inclusion in an exhibition book. Cash prizes will be awarded in each of ten (10) narrative categories (five prizes each for the categories expressed through poetry, and five prizes each for the categories expressed through fine arts), as well as one Best of Show Grand Prize. Prizes will be awarded during the Opening Night Gala, October 3, 2012.
